Ohhhhhhhhh, so it is only underage gambling if the kid WINS.

With that logic in place, my 9 year old should be able to walk in to Tom Thumb, buy ME (an adult) a 12 pack of Budweiser and a carton of Marlboros because she is not going to drink or smoke either, she is simply making the purchase on my behalf because I am too lazy to get out of my truck.

Now it all makes sense……………NOT!!!!!

maybe because you can smoke and drink as soon as you buy it and you have to be of age to claim a lottery ticket!!!!

Nice, too bad Alabama can’t get a lottery, but I guess Florida enjoys spending our Alabama money.

Well let’s try to understand the state’s logic. They outlawed the sale of cigarettes and beer from vending machines long ago because there was no way to prevent the sale to minors. Then the same state law makers decide it is okay to sell lottery tickets from vending machines, thus encouraging underage gambling. Nope, still don’t understand the logic. I do see though that the state is willing to put their own greed ahead of protecting children from adult vices, if there is profit to be made. But hey what do we expect from a state that won’t allow casinos to be built because gambling is sooooooo bad, but continue to permit bingo, dog tracks, horse tracks and now lottery ticket vending machines. Dare I say, what will they think of next?

Now mommies can sit in the car while they send the kids in to buy lottery tickets.

THis has go to be bad for business for the stores. If I was gonna stand in line and buy tickets, I was gonna get some beer and cigeratttes. Now they lose that money.
