I remember growing up in Bluff Springs and going to Century and having bullies torment me, being told not to fight but to tell the school who was doing it. Just telling them when and where it happened every day wasn’t good enough. Finally, I caught one, picked him up and carried him into the office, set him down on Mr. Powers’ desk and said, ‘this is one of them.”

The man STILL wasn’t satisfied.

You would say they were a waste when your child gets beat like a piece of meat. and doesn’t know who did it? Or what about that teacher who is getting abuse by the wonderful children we raise today. Just think about I see it everyday I walk into a school. You want to know how kids are today go sit in a school instead at home, or shopping. You’ll be amazed.

If parents would be parents and quit trying to be the “best friend” to the children we would not need cameras. When I went to school my Mother put the fear of GOD in me that I would not need a camera to watch me, I knew better. And to protect? Come on, what do you suppose these cameras can do to protect? They may identify the source but not protect, the kids that would mis-behave have no respect for athourity anyway. I agree, this is total WASTE!

Security video systems help keep folks honest, and although these systems will not prevent all crimes from occurring, they are a deterrent, and they help in verifying witness statements, which leads in bringing those who offend to justice.
There is an alternative for those who oppose camera systems in the schools; you can always keep your kids at home for “home school.”

Some body needs to show the School District how to spend there money wisely. They waste more money then any of us know . The old rule of thumb was: spend $500.000.00 to save $50.000.00 dollars. When them big shot went to college they must have had their brain reprogramed to waste money. I never seen anything like it. It just more Goverment control.

Does anybody know if there is any tax watchdog group that watches the School District. If not we need to form one.

Run them college boys out of office and let a common sense man run things for a while. It just shows that college can’t make you smart!!!
