The school board is saving money because they don’t have to pay utilities, workers, and 2nd rate teachers at Carver. They can come to Bratt and Ernest Ward and get mentoring. Just because you have a good building does not mean you have a good school. Deal with it and put on a happy face for your kids. Your attitude at home will carry over to your kids and that will affect them in their attitude at school.

what ashame if adults continue to complain how in the world are these innocent children going to adjust . you know the parents are fussing at home also DEAL with it move on sorry you are so unhappy your kids are going to recieve a chance for an education it is not going to cost you anymore money or time buses wil transport better yet move across the line into alabama. And for some of the staff at Bratt dont judge these kids I have heard many of you are not happy about the change too bad do your job and give them the education the deserve . EVERYONE NEEDS TO REMEMBER TO THINK OF OTHERS WE ARE ALL GODS CHILDREN WETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a sad day when you build fine buildings, people run away elsewhere, now they are all together again in portables. (& at a great cost ) Another way to say “OUR GOVERNMENT AT WORK”. I hope all of the children will focus on education. That is why they are at school. Remember , education is something NO ONE can take away from you. Work hard kids and enjoy school, It’s the best time of your life.

come on people the school in century is closed…lets focus on what we have now and make things work. no need dwelling on the past. it is all sad, but the childrens education was the reason it closed. it is what it is. lets all just be happy and get along:)

Yes there is a good building in Century but due to the don’t care attitude of the parents,students and previous administration it failed.

SORRY, if Century-Carver was such a wonderful school there would NOT have been so many kids from up there going to other schools. Teachers in the school were sending their children to other schools. Being an F school, even if by one point, is not going to keep kids at the school even if it was open. MOVE ON! $1 million for 10 classrooms and baths is probably a good deal. I do wish they would use enclosed walkways to join the school. Open walkways are fine for parks but NOT schools. Mr. Thomas should look into this issue.
