I truly could not have had a better father...Although we did not have a lot growing up you made sure we had everything thing we needed even if it meant you working three jobs and for that me, mama, Talia, Meia, and TJ are greatful. You and mama showed us the importance of hard work, love for family and others, and the importance of Christ being the head of our lives and for that again we are so greatful. Daddy we truly miss you and although things are not the same now that you are gone I would want you to know that the things you taught us would never be forgotten. And we strive to live everyday just like you did with unrelenting faith in God and love for everyone. Love You Daddy! His love and memory still lives on. Tommy was such a dear person and a man of God. His service to man and God were realized by all. I thank God for allowing me to be part of his family. He was like a brother to me and was there for my mother when I was not available due to me not living in Atmore. I could call upon him at anytime to assist her and he was there for her. They both have gone on to be with the Lord , I am sure he is there for her making sure she is alright just as he did when they were here on earth. God bless you both. We miss you. It has been almost one year now since my dear cousin and friend has gone on to be with the lord. His love and memory still lives on. Tommy was such a dear person and a man of God. He was a very, very special man. I have so many special memories of him from when I was a little girl. I remember how he used to pick me up and swing me around. I remember how he would come by my grandmothers in his patrol car, and stop in to say hi. We would laugh and talk and eat and laugh and talk some more. He was the only uncle who teased me by calling me my first name..."Quintina". My husband worked with him through law enforcement and I got to know Tommy through EMS. We have never met someone who smiled so much and always had the most positive attitude in any situation. He will be sorely missed but we all know that he is looking down upon us from high. That was the most beautiful funeral we have ever attended. Prayers to his family. We both were blessed to have known and worked alongside Tommy America. My husband worked with him through law enforcement and I got to know Tommy through EMS.
