Particularly at this age. Just ask the parents and children on either side if they were "biting their nails". This was a double elimination tournament so the loser of this game was out because each of them had already lost once. As I said, each team went through several pitchers. Every pitchers is allowed only 75 pitches per game and if they do pitch that many, they have to have 4 days of rest before they can pitch again. Only 1 pitcher from each team pitched their 75 that night. Any negativity wasn’t necessary. This article was simply for Coach Killam to tell how proud he was of his players. Both teams went through several pitchers so extra warm up time. The game was tied at the end of the 6th inning so they played a 7th. Why do you have to question it and what does it matter to you if the game was 3 1/2 hours or not? Most of the players are 9. It was a tournament game so there was no time limit.
