We at the Escambia County (Alabama) Historical Society awarded our first one (even though it was relatively small) last December and it was exhilarating to have the honor to present the award. Historical societies cannot go wrong with a program like this, helping students with their education. Kudos to Barrineau Park Historical Society for this. And kudos to the recipient for his accomplishments! I know that is a thrill for both the Society as well as the recipient.
