I worked with this young man's father for several years and I don't know of a better family. Sure, there are times when our children do things we aren't proud of but to think something of this caliber of violence can happen to someone with seemingly minor legal issues is unimaginable. We pay for convicted murderers to stay on death row for decades while exhausting appeals to spare their lives, yet this person's life ended in a second with no chance of going through the court system. My prayers are with the family. I lost my adult daughter last year and I can tell you the healing, grieving, questioning takes you through a myriad of emotions and their is no hurt any greater.
