Dear Anonymous, I do not think he should correct his statement when what he said is what every one know's. Who has the most to gain in this consolidation? Who is alway's trying to get us to join them? Who is going to gain the most revenue and power?Who is going to spread their debt out in to the county? One answer! THE CITY! I knew that century was not going to endorse consolidation when they WITH DREW THEIR SUPPORT FOR IT. All he is doing is voiceing his opinion. He owe's no one a "correction"! VOTE NO ON CONSOLIDATION.

Quoting Curious: "Just because he is related, does’nt mean he can do the job. If he was a law breaker, would you still vote for him?"

What is more of the problem is the continuous disregard for the importance of her position. Several months ago, when it came time to elect a council president, this same member voted for Ann Brooks "Because she is a woman...". I don't want council members working for me who vote someone in just because of their gender or status as a relative. Our council was elected to do the will of the PEOPLE! It seems that Mrs. Scott is forgetting to consult her constituents when making decisions.

I am pretty sure that not too many people in the town of Century care anymore about the drama that goes on at city hall. This is another one of those "hey lets hire our whole entire family so we know the job gets done right". Sharon, how about hiring all of your kin because I'm sure they all have the most outstanding brains that you seem to have.

“It’s the City of Pensacola gurus that are behind this.”......it's amazing me to that the mayor of Century, the person elected by a majority of the citizens who is supposed to lead the city, believes the "City of Pensacola" is behind consolidation. Maybe it was a gaffe and he wasn't thinking about what he was saying, but if that's what he thinks how is he supposed to lead his citizens to making the right decision? That's a huge, huge problem when you consider that everyone in North Escambia is highly skeptical of this issue to begin with. Anything said by someone in that position is usually taken as fact and used by the citizens to make a decision. I believe he should correct himself.

I felt Mr. Scott could do a good job of gathering information, questioning and just overall looking out for Century. I don't want any hurt feelings over this matter by the citizens of my home town Century, Florida. I jokingly said I had to vote for Mr. Scott because he's my father-in-law. But the bottom line was, I felt he could do the job.
