Oh, yes we don’t want to forget the buse drivers. They do a very safe job getting our children to school, in all kind of weather. They are the first person, working for the Escambia County School District that see our children in the morning. We are always glad to have them. They don’t teach the children, the way that the teach do, in the class room but some of the facility don’t teach. They are all good examples, and role models, in our School District. I agree that Ernest Ward Middle School is a great school. I would not take anything for the 3 years that I have been involved with EWMS. No other school in the county could have done a better job. All the teachers have one goal and that is to teach our children. Keep up the good work!!!

Mrs. Perry continues to lead EWMS in a positive direction. We are so lucky to have her as our principal. The students at EWMS consistently perform well above average. It will be a sad day when we loose the facility and staff that include but are not limited to: Mrs. Perry, Mrs. Hanks, Mrs. Polson, and all of the teachers and staff that make EWMS such a great school. I named those 3 specifically because they do not have students with them in the classroom but they greatly contribute to the overall success of EWMS. The school is truly a better place by having those 3 on staff!! Keep making the community proud! If anybody doubts the quality of what some people call, our “little hick school” let them look at our test scores and overall averages. I would put my childrens education at EWMS up against any school in the county, or even state!! Our students are getting a better education because it is not just book learning, they are being taught life skills and values (thank you Mrs. Ellis) you can not put a price tag on this kind of education! I guess it is obvious that I am really appreciative of our little school. Keep up the great job.

The county wide numbers for fourth graders are amazing! Going from 68 to 81 is huge!

Ernest Ward students just ROCK! When the Carver and Century students get to Ernest Ward next year, they will be in such a great place. Then everybody will ROCK!
