Let’s give the council a chance Century and Flomaton both have so much to do in improving Hwy29 a face lift is needed. And sidewalks are needed along Hwy 29 Century to Flomatonto Hwy31. We have alot of elderly on scooters that need them in place. I look around the surrounding area’s ( Pensacola, Atmore) and see that roads, Interstate hwy ’s and turning lanes are always being added and changed. As we move forward let’s hope that the leaders in office will do us all proud with the money if it comes through.
Let’s incourage and be supportive it is a good place to start.
Plan for the future and maybe we can attract more business to Century. Everything we do to improve wheather it is the town council or each of us around our town we all need to take ownership. To improve for our children and grandchildren if we want Century and Flomaton to be here for them.

Maybe they should follow suit with the rest of the country and give wild bonuses to their employees.

I certainly hope the money will correct the issue of flooding on highway 29 in front of my building. Everytime we get a heavy rain, the water backs up and runs into my building. The storm drains need to be cleaned out they have been stopped up since hurricane Ivan. Then the idiots who drew up the plans for the highway and the sidewalks placing them 3 inches above the level of my building causing the rain to come in,needs to go back to school for some more education in planning,design and research. And while I am on the subject of poor planning and design ,the state really did a blunder on the curve on Highway 29 in front of Ann Brooks’ Office. What a dangerous section of road!

Maybe the town won’t use the money for something other than its intended purpose like some outrageous lawsuit against the school district for closing Carver-Century. We can only hope that the funds will be distributed by FDOT because this way there’d be no opportunity for malfeasance by the town.
