To many Rashon was just a friend, but to me he was like the brother I never had we told each other everything. It was such a shock to hear that he was gone I just kept thinking no not rashon it had to be a mistake. I don't really like to talk about the times that we shared because I always seem to get down but in my heart he's still here and I still get to see and spend time with him on the days that he does stop by to check on me.He just had that kind of energy that would brighten your day and make you feel good on your worst days.He was so charming and loved fashion I MISS HIM SO MUCH ............ A very good young man he was and still is.................. I love you my brother xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Hello all, My name is James, and I am a friend of Rashawn, The funeral will be held on Monday Feb 16th at 2:00pm. The Family needs a little help with the funeral cost. I will be donating, and I encourage all to help this family out to the best of your abilities. You can make the donation directly to the funeral home and tell them you would like to pay towards Rashawn Caldwell’s bill. I didn't know his family at all but I share in their loss, and I couldn't imagine losing a child or a loved one in that manner. So please if you can spare a few dollars and help lighten the burden on this family, feel free to stop by Joe Morris & Son Funeral Home and make a small contribution. The number for that facility is (850) 432-3436‎ Rashawn was a smart, sincere, and caring individual. He was a great friend, loved to help and was very unselfish when it came to anything. No matter how he felt or what mood he always had a smile on his face. So I feel much obliged to try and help his family in any way that I can. GOD bless you all and my prayers go out to his loved ones

This was indeed a tragic accident. The three survivors are truly blessed to still have breath in their bodies! It's my understanding that the driver was texting while driving and didn't realize the road was coming to an end as well as his precious life. I pray that this is a wake up call to all who drive and text or occupy themselves in other activities while driving. It was extremely foggy on Sunday morning in that area. I was returning from a trip and came through that area approximately 5 a.m. So with the fog and if he was truly texting and fatigued the others are blessed to have survived. It is my understanding that two of the young men were able to get out of the car own their own just after the crash and the last one to exit the car had a difficult time because of the postion he was in after the inpact. He was able to drag himself out of the car using his arms plus the fear of death was upon him. The dispatcher pulled him further away from the burn car.
We are ever so greatful that GOD sent her to help Trey and to comfort the others until other medical assistance arrived.
To all of their friends I ask you let this serve as an eye opener and life changing experience to each and every one of you. Obedience is better than Sacifice! Had the young men been acting obediently on Saturday then we would not have to suffer the lose of two young men. Please remember that all of our dark works and deeds will have light shed upon them in a manner of time! Your parents aren't tell you not to do things or go places because they don't want you to have fun, it's because they love you and want the best for you. Remember that they were once your age and have lived longer than you and have experienced more and can save you from a lot of heart aches in your life. Though some things we go through because GOD has to strengthen us to make sure we are ready and able to complete the task HE has for us, so some things we can not avoid, we must face with faith and trust in GOD to do what GOD does and be what GOD is.
Children be obedient to your parents so that your days on earth will be made long.
Let this lose of loved ones serve as a lesson to you all! Get focused and learn to have "safe" fun. Know that there is a time and place for everything. Please don't make this a finger pointing issue. It was an accident, two are gone forever and three have scars, physically and mentally, that will constantly remind them of this incident for the rest of their live!
My prayers are with all the families that your sons become men who can make a difference and that this "test"imony will be the turning point they all need to get them focused.
As for the condition of the three survivors, it is my understanding one has been released from the hospital. One has serious back injuries and the other suffered two broken legs but he is recovering and otherwise.
God Blessings Be Upon them ALL!

This was a tragedy of monumental proportions. Trae was a 24yr old nursing student near graduation and RaShawn was a talented 18yr old hair stylist with his entire world ahead of him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families as well as Reggie, Trey, and Trinco that survived with very serious long-term injuries. They are all special young men and they AND their families have a very long recovery ahead of them.

My understanding is their is a problem with funds to cover the burial for RaShawn so if anyone is interested in lessening the financial burden for his family pls contact me and I will put you in touch with the funeral home. Any donation will mean so much.

Firefighters witness and work hellish situations everyday and it does leave lasting scars on their mental health. I personally know men who cannot eat certain foods because it brings up memories of a call. There are holidays that still bring back memories of bad calls from twenty years ago. I would suggest to any of the firemen at this scene to talk to your brothers about it and discuss it delicately with your wives. As usual ,good job guys.

I feel for these people and their families as its a sucky situation for everyone involved. This kind of accident brings the thought of using a gps during the fog. it will tell you how far you are from your nearest turn there for preventing accidents like these. Isn't there a whole bunch of signs & such at this intersection from when they finished the widening project?
