"The Minority Culture Club at Northview High School celebrated change at the school’s annual Black History Month program Thursday."

Yes, indeed. Everyone of us, not just the minorities, are about to experience change. But, I feel quite sure it is not going to be the kind of change most of us have in mind.

Clouds Hover Above Next Generation's Enviroment

Pehaps these bright young people, as well as their class mates and parents would like to do a little research, and find out (1) who said the following, (2) how they lived, and (3) how they influenced history. I am sure some of us already know.

"Two steps forward, and one step back."

"From each according to his ability. To each, according to his need."

"Religion is the impotence of the human mind to deal with occurrences it cannot understand."

"Religion is the opium of the masses."

"Religion is the sign of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people."

"Sell a man a fish, he eats for a day, teach a man how to fish, you ruin a wonderful business opportunity."

"The first requisite for the happiness of the people is the abolition of religion."

"The meaning of peace is the absece of opposition to socialism."

"We should not say that one man's hour is worth another man's hour, but rather that one man during an hour is worth just as much as another man during an hour. Time is everything, man is nothing: he is at the most time's carcass."

"The theory of communism may be summed up in one sentece: Abolish all private property." (and, I bet most young folks have been thinking, "This is a great free country. Oneday I can own my own place.")

Has anyone guessed or found out yet, whose words these are?

Here is a word we all need to have in our vocabulary, when we ask, "How did this change come about?"

DUPE: One that is easily deceived or cheated: Source: Merrium Webster's Online Dictionary.

If I look to the left, it looks wrong. If I look to the right, it looks wrong. If look within The Kingdom that is within me, I see The Truth. This is The Change we need. I pray, it is The Change we ask for.

I hope some of you young folks read and ponder this. This generation has handed you a heavy load, and there is only One who can bear it. I pray you find Him ASAP, if you have not done so already. He has said that we will find Him when we seek Him with our whole heart. We need Him. He is the change we all need. He and He alone is this world's only hope.
