To the Family of Mr. Johansen,
"The LORD Bless you and keep you, the LORD make HIS face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up HIS countenance upon you, And give you peace." NUMBERS 7:24-26
This is one of my favorite verses. I have prayed for him and for your family, and will keep you in my prayers.
God Bless

i understand there was a third deer vs car accident this morning early.i urge motorists at night especially to use extra caution on the roads from sundown to sunup.the bucks are rutting chasing does and are stupid to oncoming traffic.i say we should extend the season another month to thin a few more deer out.i bet insurance companies would be all for it ,thus keeping all our premiums down.A.W.
Stricter laws on hunting and hunting with dogs has brought on a lot of problems. When we were allowed to run deer with dogs it seemed there wasn't as big of a problem with deer vs car accidents. There are too many deer in Northwest Florida and South Alabama, so maybe more lieniant hunting laws should be in effect. My sympathy goes out to both families. May God bless both families and bring a fast recovery to the latest accident victim.

I tell everyone to beep at animals on the side of the road to scare them away, I have been doing it for years and it works. Of coarse you have to see them for this to work and in the fog that Tad was in it would had been of little help.
I used to work with Tad at Westinghouse , he was a good man my deepest respects and sympathy go out to his family

Believers,

Please pray before you drive.

Everyone,

Please, do not tailgate someone driving slowly in this area. They may be folks who know how many deer are in this area. And, at night, please remember to dim your headlights when meeting another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Please do so, also, when approaching another vehicle from behind. Hi beam lights bother most folks, but especially our seniors, many of whom have age related eye problems, such as cataracts beginning to form. Watch the roadsides for deer. Often they are just standing there, but sometimes they just bolt from the woods, with no warning. I have even seen deer, two or three times in residential areas. There are many, many deer in this area. I have seen as many as 8 at a time in my back yard. I sometimes flash my lights and/or hit the horn intermitently when in places where I most often see these beautiful creatures. Once, however, blowing the horn spooked a deer, and she darted across the road. Please do not get road rage, if someone flashes their headlights at you, to signal you to please dim yours. And, if someone is tailgating you, it would, most likely, be a good idea to just pull over to the right, and let them go around you. This is getting to be a serious situation.
