If recycling is a good thing, and i think it is, why is
it not good for everyone?

In response to escambiacitizen: ECUA trucks did work the Barrineau Park/Molino area Tuesday, January 6. I personally followed one truck for three hours in the Molino area. Further evidence–not of the most desirable sort–of ECUA pickup activity on January 6 were the reports in NE.com of (a) an ECUA truck brushing against a school bus on Molino Road and (b) two ECUA trucks losing their side mirrors while passing on Chestnut Road.
To be sure, there were some isolated misses, as the routes had not been perfectly worked out for January 6. I have received reports of skipped stretches of Jacks Branch Road, west Molino Road, and Highway 95A, as well as Rose Lane and Adams St. All such reports have been forwarded to ECUA sanitation staff, and corrections have been made. The ECUA garbage pick up went as planed,our garbage was picked up on time and we received our recycle can on time.The biggest problem is that the people assumed it would be automatic. A lot of the customers didn’t look at papers,enternet or tv and assumed that ECUA could read there minds.

We nor did anyone in the commuity (Molino and Barrineau Park) did not get our trash picked up at all last week. Nor did we get our recycle containers. What is going on? I bet they will not take that week off our bills. Very discouraging!!!!!!!

We received delivery of our Recycle Container this morning. I believe this is going to be a good program. I hope people will work together to keep Escambia County clean. I would also add that if a household consistenty exceeds capacity on their trash container to call ECUA and order another for $3.00 per month.
