Good point Sammy! It does seem like a waste of money. The small things like mailing these report cards do add up!!

Anna- I am sure your parent's are proud of you! I have a 5th grader and I seem to push her harder and expect more of her than her smaller siblings. NOT because I do not love her or want to be harder on her. She is capable of straight A's and I see so many opportunities that she can have if she will study and apply herself. I push her more because she is capable of so much more than she gives herself credit for. Hang in there and know that they love you and only want the best for you.

Parents may be proud of their kids' report cards, but mine sure won't be. Straight A's and one B. It was only an 88, but that one grade is gonna get me grounded. It's not fair, considering that if my siblings made the same grade, my parents would celebrate and congratulate them.

A lot of students are proud to show off their report cards. When my child was in school report card day was always a day of celebration. It was validation for all the hard work put in. Her scholarships pay for her college!
Parents need to offer support and positivity. Don't assume that all kids are "bad students" and ashamed of their report cards. Encourage them, love them, help them and they will do you proud! Mine sure did!

Ok, so is there any other high school in the county that mails the report cards? All these cut backs, why can't they just send them home with the students? I know stamps aren't much, but when you start piling up all that postage it adds up. Why can't Mr. Thomas start cutting small things as mailing report cards instead of pulling educators away from our children?

Just a thought....................

Bad news kiddies...mom and dad now know that the report cards are in the bookbag. And what do bet that every Northview student will break their necks to check the mail first the next couple of days?
