Who are they competing against? They own every station in and around Atmore. This is just greed and lining there pockets at our expense. My husband has to travel out of town so he sees to it that he never buys gas in Atmore and I try not to. Also government regulation had nothing to do with it.

Gas prices look much better for Molino, but what about Atmore?
A station in Molino, and a station in Atmore owned by the same
person. Why is there 37 cents difference in price?

Could it be price fixing?

I am told Brewton prices are as low as Molino so state taxes are not
the issue.

Could it be greed?

Maybe Atmore is out of the way, and trucking is more. 2000 gallons
of gas wieghs about 16,000 pounds, and the tractor tanker rig wieghs
about 35,000 pounds for a combined wieght of 51,000 pounds. 37 cents
per gallon times 2000 gallons equals 740 dollars. 740 divided by 24 (the
miles from Molino to Atmore) equals 30.83 dollars per mile. Maybe if
they brought 4000 gallons (they would still be well under legal wieght
limits) they could make it. 61.66 dallors per mile would do it for me.
3.2 cents times 3000 gallon equals 96 dollars divided by 24 equals
4 dollars per mile.

Prices, distances, and wieghts may not be exact, but they are not far off.
it's not just our elected officals, but they are allowing it.

Sorry, forgot about fuel surcharge.
