I am so happy for Alexis and the oppurtunity she has to go on this amazing adventure. I was also offered the same trip, but I am unable to attend. I hope Alexis has a great time learning and I hope she gains so much from this amazing program. Have fun in Greece and Italy, Alexis…..Make a wish for me in the fountain!

My daughter, participated in the P2P tour of the British Isles for 3 weeks this past summer. While she was only 14, she cut grass, did extra chores, saved her birthday and Christmas money. We did not do any fundraisers since they were over an hour from our home, nor did we seek donations as, while this is an honor, it still boils down to whether or not you are willing to pay for it. This is a fabulous opportunity that more parents should be aware of. ANY parent may go online and register their child. While the bottom line is that in order to go, you come up with the money. It is worth it as it is an experience you will never forget. You are well prepared through the 4 meetings and online study of the cultures of the countries that you will be visiting. Was it worth it? Overall yes. Will my daughter save up her money to go again? She is working on it now to travel again in two summers back to Scotland for a semester at St. Andrews College’s IB program.

People to People is a wonderful organization.It’s purpose is to promote world peace through the understanding of other countries and cultures.Dwight D. Eisenhower knew that young people were our best chance for this.We have many Alumni in our area,I know because my son is one of them.Traveling with PTP is a very rewarding experience.They don’t just send you out there without the knowledge you will need in the country you will be visiting.As an ambassador you have to attend meetings,study and pass tests , complete a project and present it in front of your delegation and do community service.
I hope you raise your funds because this is something you will never forget.
