Carver Century has a dedicated and experienced faculty/staff. Only a few live in or around the Century area, but teachers/staff stand together for a common cause: the education of the students. They go above and beyond what most schools provide. Despite lack of most parental support they forge onward. By way of a charter school and AYP hundreds of students have left this small community school. Small town schools have a unique flavor about themselves that no large school can attain. It is too bad the surrounding community let this gem slowly slip away. Soon Carver/Century will go the way of Century High School. Finger pointing at this stage has no practical use. The light was there, but people did not see it until the power was slowly eliminated. Nothing is sadder than a small town school closing. Such a waste, such a shame!
